No one ever said that dieting was fun. Likewise there is no magic pill that will suddenly make us svelte - although there certainly are many pills being sold today under that promise. So weight loss is not fun, and it's not easy! What to do? Here are some tips for quick weight loss that do work.
1. FAST: After getting your doctor's approval, of course, try fasting for the first three days.
Although there are many ways to fast, I find that limiting your intake to only liquids the first three days of a quick weight loss plan works the best. You can drink broth, fresh juice (no sugar added), herbal teas (especially green tea), and lemon water. You can NOT drink sodas - diet or otherwise - or any other sugar or fake sugar product.
2. WATER: This is the most important of all quick weight loss plans.
Drink at least 100 ounces of purified water every day. It will help you avoid cravings by making you feel full. The water will flush out the poisons that have stalled your metabolism.
3. STEAMED OR RAW FRUITS & VEGETABLES: Your liver is going to love you! Eat steamed or raw fruits and vegetables for the next four days. By day seven you will notice a boost in energy and over-all well being.
4. DAIRY: On day eight, you can re-introduce dairy. Dairy means plain non-fat yogurt - no milk, cream, or butter if you want quick weight loss. Make sure the yogurt is organic so your digestive tract will have the benefit of the live cultures. Throw some berries and five or six walnuts on top, sprinkle with some cinnamon and stevia extract and you'll have a great breakfast.
5. PROTEIN: Protein in the form of meats and fish can be added on day nine. Make sure it's organic, grass fed, caught wild lean meat and fish. Grilling will give you the best quick weight loss results.
6. GRAINS: On day ten, if you are pleased with your results, you can start eating grains. Make sure they are 100% whole grains, brown rice, and brown rice pasta - Nothing made from white flour.
If you experience weight gain after introducing grains, you can either go back to day nine, or begin the cycle again on day one.
7. EXERCISE: You can begin exercise on day four, by walking a mile. You can build up from there as you get more solids into your system.
These quick weight loss tips should have you feeling great and looking healthy by the end of the first cycle. Try to avoid processed foods and all foods that contain sugar. Your body is demanding healthy eating so it can do its job of keeping you thin.
